hard work hardly gets noticed by the Beneficiary

Have you ever felt like you’re constantly working hard but it’s just never good enough in the eyes of others? If so, you’re not alone. I know this feeling all too well, which inspired my journey to become acutely aware.  Breaking the cycle of feeling like you need to constantly prove your worth to those around you is tough, and most of the times we don’t recognize that we are in this toxic cycle to begin with.  That is why it’s important that we become acutely aware of ourselves and becoming in touch with how certain environments or people make us feel.  It’s important to remember that your own personal growth and happiness should be your top priority.

becoming acutely aware for self happiness

I had a similar experience, but one day I had a realization that changed my perspective. I realized that people or organizations can remove you from their world at a moment’s notice, but you can never remove yourself from yourself. This realization encouraged me to shift my focus to prioritizing my goals, happiness, and self-love.

For me, this journey towards self-love took the form of embracing my natural hair and learning to care for it without relying on harsh chemicals or weaves. It was a pivotal moment in my personal growth journey, and I want to share tips on natural hair care with others who may be on a similar path.

black women deserve a safe space

That’s why I created “Acutely Aware,” a space for Black women to share their experiences, failures, and life lessons. It’s a safe place for us to support and encourage each other as we navigate our journeys towards self-love and personal growth. Join me, and let’s explore together.
